Frédéric Favier is Full Senior Research Scientist of the French National Scientific Research Council (CNRS) at the Laboratory for Aggregates, Interfaces and Materials for Energy, Charles Gerhardt Institute for Molecular Chemistry and Materials, in Montpellier, France. He is also vice-director of the IC2B Carnot Institut. Current research directions include the synthesis and assembling of nano/meso objects in 1, 2 or 3D assembles for the fabrication of chemical sensors, especially for hydrogen sensing. The group is also dealing with the preparation and design of electrode materials for energy storage and low temperature water electrolysis.
Frédéric Favier is involved in several international partnerships with the University of California Irvine (Reg Penner group), the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Jüergen Brugger), The Université du Québec à Montréal (Daniel Bélanger). In France, he is sharing strong collaborations with Thierry Brousse (Université de Nantes) and Patrice Simon (Université Paul Sabatier, Toulouse). He is currently coordinating the FlexCap ANR project
Thème de Recherche
