II. Research activities

Examples of measurements and utilization of the temperature gradient generated by magneto/photothermal nanoparticles
Part of our research activities focuses on heat generation using nanoparticles. Two aspects are addressed here: luminescence nanothermometry and the use of heat generation to release free radicals by homolysis.

Research topics
As a physicist by training integrated into a chemistry laboratory, my research primarily lies at the interface of these two scientific fields. I am interested in the design of nanoplatforms and the study of their behaviors, whether through scientific experiments or modeling.
My main research themes focus on three major interconnected areas:
- The design and study of the physical properties of iron oxide and cyano-bridged coordination materials in the form of nanoparticles or thin films.
- The study of heat generation by nano-objects and its propagation at the nanometric scale.
- The design, study, and use of thermal nanosensors (luminescence, EPR, etc.).
I also have secondary research themes, which are:
- The magnetic and luminescent study of lanthanide-based Single-Molecule Magnets.
- Mechanochemistry assisted by induction heating.
