Sidonie Laviéville, a PhD student in her 3rd year at the laboratory’s Chemistry and Molecular Materials (D1) and Chemistry and MacroMolecular Materials (D2) departments, has just been selected to take part in the prestigious Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting 2025, to be held in Germany from June 29 to July 4, 2025.
This exceptional event brings together Nobel Prize laureates and promising young researchers from all over the world, enabling intergenerational scientific exchanges and high-level collaboration. Sidonie will have the unique opportunity to take part in lectures, master classes and discussions with internationally renowned researchers in the field of chemistry.
At the ICGM, Sidonie is working on the development of new polymer materials called “adaptable covalent networks”, at the frontier between thermoplastics, which are recyclable but not very resistant, and thermosets, which are resistant but difficult to recycle. The aim of his thesis work is to study new, innovative structures for this family of materials.
This distinction underlines the excellence of his research work at ICGM, as well as his commitment to the advancement of chemical and materials sciences.
