
The Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier (ICGM) is proud to announce that Gaelle Savin, a PhD student who completed her thesis work in our laboratory, is among the winners of the 2024 Interdisciplinary Thesis Prize of the Collège doctoral de l’Université de Montpellier.
This prestigious award was presented to her on June 24, 2024 at the CHARM-EU international conference entitled “Connecting knowledge, shaping futures: transdisciplinarity in research”, by Gilles Subra, Director of the UM Doctoral College.
Entitled “Synthesis of bioresorbable polyurethane composites for application in orthopedic surgery”, Gaelle Savin’s thesis, carried out under the supervision of Ghislain David, with the co-direction of Benjamin Nottelet and Sylvain Caillol, is fully in line with an interdisciplinary approach, at the crossroads of chemistry, materials and health sciences.
This award recognizes the scientific excellence of his work within the Sciences Chimiques Balard (SCB) doctoral school and the ICGM.
