Emergency Instructions & Contacts

In the event of an accident In the event of a fire Administrative procedures Medical and social contacts for staff In the event of an accident

Faced with an accident, I keep calm and act in the following order:

  • Protect the victim without putting oneself in danger (move the victim only in case of extreme necessity and immediate danger)
  • ALERT the emergency services.
  • RESCUE by letting work lifeguards who have been trained to perform the first emergency gestures. The list of rescuers is posted on the doors of the persons concerned) and is also available on the unit's intranet
  • Alert in a second time the occupational medicine, the hierarchy and the Prevention Assistant of the department.

A written report is written following any accident: circumstances (place, date, time, victims), analysis of probable causes, how to remedy them, general measures to be taken). The information must be noted on the laboratory's Health and Safety register.

The Prevention Assistant must contact, as soon as possible, the management of the ICGM (Eric Clot Tel: 04 67 14 40 14; 06 95 93 72 58) and must complete the necessary documents (register,…). He must also warn the facilitator of the Prevention Commission (Pascale Guiffrey). This information chain will make it possible to take note of accidents/serious incidents occurring within the laboratory and will make it possible to provide a proportionate response as well as a follow-up of the files.

You can now consult the medical and social contact sheets made available for ICGM staff and students.

Eric Clot, Unit Director and Pascale Guiffrey, Head of the Prevention Commission remain at your disposal. Do not hesitate to contact them if necessary.
